SBH (Soul Bound Hero)
Soul bound Hero (SBH) is a hero tied to an account. It has the same status as the original hero and can be use in various contents such as quests and duels. However, there are the following differences.
However, there are a few differences between SBH and original hero including:
SBH cannot be sell in the marketplace or transfer to other account by any means.
There is a limit on the number of SBHs that can be own. For each account, the maximum limit for SBHs of the same type of hero is three.
There is no issuance limit for SBHs.
SBHs doesn't exist for some collaborative heroes.
Regarding the sale of SBH
SBH can be purchased with GUM from the in-game market, just like original hero.
Not all SBHs are sold simultaneously; instead, the SBHs available for sale are updated on a weekly basis. All the heroes' SBHs are sold within approximately a four-month cycle.
Furthermore, 50% of the SBH sales revenue that, equivalent to MCHC, will be distributed to the owners of original hero who meet certain conditions. (This MCHC is not newly issued but acquired through market purchases.)
The certain conditions are as to follows:
Must own the original hero NFT.
Must be a Prime user or claimed 15 or more daily bonuses on the Polygon network in the previous season.
【For the first sale only】 Participating in the price determination vote for the eligible hero.
If you own multiple eligible hero, the distribution amount will increase proportionally.
For example, if 10 SBH of King Arthur were sold for 10,000 GUM each: Total Sales: 100,000 GUM Amount for Redistribution: MCHC equivalent to 50,000 GUM (approximately 120,000 MCHC at the time of this writing) Example of Distribution (for 5 users, A to E, who meet the conditions):
User A (owns 1 SBH): 15,000 MCHC
User B (owns 2 SBH): 30,000 MCHC
User C (owns 1 SBH): 15,000 MCHC
User D (owns 3 SBH): 45,000 MCHC
User E (owns 1 SBH): 15,000 MCHC
Regarding the price and determination of SBH
SBH pricing determination involves the participation of owners of original heroes who meet certain conditions (later will be referred as an eligible voters).
The specified conditions are as follows:
Must own the original hero NFT.
Must be a Prime user or have claimed 15 or more daily bonuses on the Polygon network in the previous season.
The following is the method for determining the price.
The inaugural sale
The price for the first sale will be determined by the median of the prices voted for the heroes of the same type. If you own multiple heroes of the same type, your votes will be proportional to the number of heroes you own. Voting will be conducted in terms of GUM, but the sale price will be finalized in USD based on the GUM/USD rate at the end of the voting period. SBH sales will be conducted in terms of GUM, and the GUM price will fluctuate based on changes in the ETH/USD price.
Example: If the following 7 votes are obtained for King Arthur, the median is 666 GUM (0.0666 ETH). When the USD/ETH rate is 3,000 at the end of the voting period, the price for SBH sales will be equivalent to 199.8 USD worth of GUM.
Vote 1: 1 GUM
Vote 2: 2 GUM
Vote 3: 521 GUM
Vote 4: 666 GUM (Median)
Vote 5: 1,293 GUM
Vote 6: 20,000 GUM
Vote 7: 999,999 GUM
(GUM is sold with the rate of 10,000 GUM = 1 ETH)
For detailed voting information, please refer to the price voting page.
Second and subsequent sales
After the 17th week, SBH heroes will be resold. The order of sales will be the same as the first time. We are considering the following policies for determining the selling price for the second and subsequent sales. Please note that this is just the current design policy and is subject to change.
No voting will be held
The sale prices are automatically updated on every sale according to logic
The sale price updates are limited to within a certain range from the previous price
The sale price increases as the ownership rate of the hero among active users increases, and the price decreases as the ownership rate decreases.
Within the same hero rarity, the higher the ownership rate of active users, the smaller the price fluctuation, and the lower the ownership rate, the larger the price fluctuation.
